DECEMBER 2019 Curtis and Molly met through their mutual friend and wedding officiant Meryl Dakin. Meryl gathered friends together for a night out during one of Molly's visits to New York, and Curtis was among the group. After laughing over drinks at the White Horse Tavern (America's oldest restaurant, which feels like a good omen) then perfectly harmonizing to Billy Joel hits at a Korean karaoke bar, Molly and Curtis knew they had stumbled upon something special. Their long-distance romance between New York and New Orleans began. MARCH 2020 Curtis was visiting Molly in New Orleans when the pandemic shut downs began in the United States. With so much uncertainty, it didn't seem safe for Curtis to fly from New Orleans back to his home in New York. In a matter of 24 hours, they went from asking each other "are we officially a couple?" to "do we live together?" APRIL 2020 - SEPTEMBER 2021 Molly and Curtis drove a loop around the country, living for stretches of time in Lafayette, South Lake Tahoe, Ithaca, and ultimately back in New Orleans. After many miles, many moves, and lots of fun, it was clear that they made a great team. JULY 2022 Curtis proposed to Molly in the French Quarter on their way to celebrate her birthday dinner. The two of them spent the rest of the evening romping around the Quarter celebrating their engagement with any and every stranger interested in joining in on the fun, including a woman named Erin Rose at a bar named Erin Rose (true story, she showed us her ID). TODAY Molly and Curtis enjoy their days in New Orleans taking strolls around Bayou St. John, hosting cocktail parties with friends in their makeshift speakeasy, riding bikes along the Greenway, and cheering for Arsenal Football Club. They look forward to the rest of their years together and are so excited to celebrate their love with all of you in February!
