We are requesting that you (OUR WEDDING PARTY!), sport wine-colored wear to the wedding itself. It's one way we can feel that you are all a part of this glorious day. See the floral graphic on the paper invitation and the wine chart above. If wine isn't your color, no worries. But if you're so inclined, think merlot, burgundy, rosé or whatever shade is your thing. We can't wait to see what classy ensembles y'all come up with!
Yokayo Ranch is a working farm and event venue a couple of hours north of the Bay on HWY 101. We chose it because we love Mendocino County and the opportunities for fun that the cool, relaxed outdoor venue offers. The ranch is located in the small town of Ukiah, CA where there are a plethora of lodging, food and wine tasting options. Despite the trek to get there, we love the space and know you will too!
For Friday: a bottle or two of wine or another favorite beverage. For Saturday: your dancing shoes and wine-colored wear. For Sunday: Bubbles (that's Californian for champagne) vinyl/playlists & swimsuit.
The short answer...bring em! Little Jimmy, our main man, will be co-hosting the kiddos for the weekend. We are looking for a local babysitter or patient relative to be in the kid area we want to set up during Saturday but the other days, childcare will be provided by the parents and the community of loved ones. If you have ideas about activities, etc. please send them! Sunday will be a pool party so bring the floaties and swim diapers. Email or text us if you plan to bring kids as the RSVP link isn't set up for kids (yet).
Your presence IS the gift! Really, we have all the toasters and towels we need, but if you are inclined to give us a gift, cash for our future endeavors is warmly welcomed.
Calling all photographers! Instead of spending money (that could go to wine) on a professional photographer, we ask you to bring your A-game (and fancy phones and cameras) and take photos for us! We will create a shared folder to upload into & choose three photos that we think most captures our wedding day. Beyond general bragging rights, if you are one of the talented winners you can choose from a two-night stay at the Mendocino Bungalow (Mike & Leah's sweet Air B n B), a bottle of our best Mendocino wine or a day of wine tasting on our Oakland route with us!
Weather in Ukiah is a bit tricky. If the stars are aligned, we hope for mid-70s during the day but can drop 30 degrees at night. That said, bring warm layers so that you can enjoy the outdoor space as much of the activities will be outside.
