We're getting married!

Our story started in the summer of 2022 with a Hinge match and a shared love of dogs. Matt liked my prompt that said, “You miss 100% of the dogs you don’t pet,” and after some fun back-and-forth, he sent a message a few days later saying “Hey, I think I might have seen you walking a dog this morning.” Turns out, he was right! I had come back early from the shore to dog-sit for a friend— and little did I know, we lived just two blocks apart. The timing wasn’t great, though—Matt was about to leave for Bali for two weeks. I didn’t expect much to come of it and assumed he’d forget about our conversation. But the day he got back, we randomly ran into each other. Then it happened again a week later. At that point, I figured the universe was trying to tell me something—I had to give this guy a chance. Our first date was a Wednesday night at Dear Maud in Hoboken, a cocktail bar that will always be special to us. That night marked the beginning of our love story and the rest is history!
