Travel Note
We cannot wait to welcome you to the breathtaking Galiano Island to celebrate our wedding weekend. Sitting off the southern coast of Vancouver, the Island is home to lush landscapes and abundant wildlife, providing the perfect place to celebrate our love story. We’ve put together a guide below to help you plan your visit.
Flight
The nearest major airport to Galiano Island is Vancouver International Airport (YVR), offering flights to/from several Canadian and US destinations. Upon arrival in Vancouver you can access Galiano Island by ferry. The ferry terminal is a 30 min drive from the airport.
Train
Take the BC Ferries from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, south of Vancouver. From there the island is just a short ride away (1 hour 15 mins). We suggest renting a car to travel from YVR to the island via Ferry, however foot passengers are also accepted. Note the ferries are quite small, so be sure to reserve vehicle space in advance. Visit BC Ferries or call 1-888-BCFERRY
