We met at Lutheran Medical center. He was the unit clerk and I was doing residency. Now Gavie ALWAYS HAD SNACKS, and If you know me at all you would know; a snack-er is an automatic friend. Gavie also seemed to always be around when any computer/copier/fax ( in reality anything electronic) would spontaneously break down after my use. He saw me as the crazy girl with the hair, that’s always breaking stuff and always snacking.
Well she saw me and said, 'hey do u wanna be my boy friend' (With a Gangsta attitude) Ha ha ha ): . The first time we met I know there was something special about her, yes of course she was the prettiest thing iv'e ever seen, with the the big curly hair and the coca cola bottle shape (she drink so much of), but it was her uncanny caring heart that shine so bright it marvels the sun, surely different form all the rest incomparable. For approximately a year and a half I suppress my butterflies for this chica. Under advisement of my homie Dr. Tuck I nervously pursue her after retiring from formally known LMC hospital, guess what, she like me too :0. Then I was Like, Chica u wanna be my wife.?? (With Gangsta attuide) Ha ha ha..
I have to admit that Janine Doneza was the first person to call it. From the beginning of our first year Janine told me that the perfect man for me was the tall skinny guy from the triage area. I was like “Let me guess why; He’s tall and skinny just like me so we must be perfect for each other right???” My Second year Alexis Tuck tells me the same thing. Mind you, both Gavie and I were both in relationships at this time. I again brush it off saying “yeah us tall skinny folk must stick together right?” Also I would NEVER date someone from work either way, because If it doesn’t work out, you’re still stuck seeing their face everyday. Nope not for me. My Third year Gavie leaves Lutheran to pursue a career in electrical engineering. The night of his fair well dinner, some one gets into his phone and texts me “when Gavie asks you out, you have to say yes.” I say “Ooo I’m telling Gavie you’re on his phone!!!” Now I don’t know who exactly this person is but I have my suspicions. Now I’m thinking this is hilarious, every year some one different tells me the same thing. So when Gavie asks me out I say yes. Well one date turns into two. Two turns into three. Now others start to notice and keep mentioning how perfect he is for me. I’m still not so sure and don’t think it’ll get very far. Gavie such a nice, quiet, calm guy and I’m just plain old crazy. Couldn’t possibly last now could it? We are so different!!! I guess everybody was right, and I was wrong yet again. Gavie is the calm to my storm, the yin to my yang, the perfect one for me. It took me three years to catch on, but I’m glad I finally did b/c I will soon be marrying my soul mate!!!
