We initially met through the glorious world of online dating (thanks OkCupid). Even though there was definitely a spark between us and amazing chemistry, our timing wasn't right and it didn't work out (or so we thought). But, as good luck and fate would have it, years later we reconnected and tried dating again. Thankfully, after all those years, it was pretty apparent that we both quickly realized what we had been missing and as a result, fell head over heels for each other.
In 2019, Mike was offered an opportunity to run the NYC Marathon through the non-profit organization he was working for. Quickly into training, Mike also knew he was ready to share the rest of his life with Craig and saw the approaching day as an amazing opportunity to propose to Craig. Shortly after the race, and in front of some of their closest friends and family members, Mike proposed to Craig in Central Park near the Jackie Kennedy Onassis Reservoir.
After multiple delays due to COVID-19 and some other shifting wedding ceremonies of siblings, Mike and Craig decided to have a very quiet and intimate service to exchange their vows. As it had become a very special place for both of them over the years, Mike and Craig exchanged vows in Tannersville, New York on the property of Mike's father's childhood home, nestled in the Catskill Mountains. Craig and Mike were honored to have their parents, siblings, nieces, nephews and of course their dog, Omaha, in attendance.
