One fateful Thanksgiving in 2017, Craig and Ally matched on Hinge (#thankful 🙏), giving Craig the perfect icebreaker to send to Ally - a simple "Happy Thanksgiving" #cringe 🤦🏻. Ally was slow to respond, possibly because she was celebrating with her family, or maybe she was unsure whether the handsome fellow she matched with was the one. Eventually, Ally did respond and the conversation snowballed - primarily over our shared obsessions with LOTR and the Legend of Zelda. After a day or two of texting, we decided to finally meet in person at the Library Cafe in Farmingdale. We discovered that we also shared the same birthday, down to the year, which Ally believed was the driving reason behind why Hinge's algorithm thought we were a good match. Algorithm or not, we've made many happy memories over the last five years, built a beautiful life and home together and now we're making it official by getting married!
