What are the entrée choices?

Answer

There are five entrée options available, listed below with descriptions: Beef Entrée: Prime Rib (GF) - 14oz, garlic and salt crusted with a natural au jus. Served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Chicken Entrée: Chicken Lobosco (GF) - spinach and mozzarella stuffed chicken breast with a garlic white wine sauce. Served with wild rice pilaf & broccolini. Pork Entrée: French Cut Pork Chop (GF) - 14oz, with applejack sauce. Served with mashed sweet potatoes and asparagus. Seafood Entrée: Shrimp Risotto (GF) - white wine and garlic shrimp in a creamy saffron risotto with pecorino and mascarpone cheese. Served with roasted asparagus and shaved parmesan. Vegetarian Entrée: Portobello Wellington - a mushroom blend wrapped in a puff pastry topped with a gorgonzola cream sauce. Served with fingerling potatoes and asparagus.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. Tuxes, gowns, suits, and formal midi dresses are all welcome!

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We love your little ones, however our wedding will be an adults only event (with the exception of our flower girls). Thank you for understanding!

Do you have a room block reserved?

Answer

Yes, there is a room block available at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott Rockaway. Please see the Travel & Accommodations tab for all hotel and travel info!

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Yes! Transportation to the venue will be provided from the Fairfield Inn & Suites Marriott Rockaway hotel. Rides will begin promptly at 4 pm. The last shuttle will depart at 4:15 pm. Return shuttles will be provided from the venue back to the Fairfield Inn & Suites following the reception.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! Free parking is available at Rock Island Lake Club for those who opt to drive in lieu of taking the provided shuttles.

Am I allowed to bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue size restrictions, we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Your invitation will be made out to "(Your Name) & Guest" if a plus one has been given to you. Thank you for understanding!

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5 pm. Please plan to arrive at Rock Island Lake Club by 4:45 pm!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present, and our photographers to be able to capture the highest quality pictures. Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like, and don't forget to share them with us!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside on the lake at Rock Island Lake Club. Cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor, and the reception will be held indoors.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

While there is not a formal afterparty, THE BARN Kitchen & Bar is located directly across the street from the Fairfield Inn & Suites hotel. Guests are welcome to continue the party there following reception - the bar is open until 2 am!
