We’re getting married!

Cam and I met in college at the University of Evansville, where he was a swimmer and I was a diver. When I met him my freshman year, I immediately developed a huge crush on him. I would talk to my friends about him constantly, and I even pointed him out to my mom at a swim meet, telling her how cute he was (a story she still loves to tell). We became really good friends the next year and got to know each other really well. We knew he was going back to Texas after graduation, and didn’t know how we would make long distance work. At the end of the summer after his graduation, I was driving down to Tallahassee to pick my sister up from school and found out he was in Destin with his family. I worked out a surprise visit to see him and during our time together in those couple of days, we decided that what we had was special and that we were going to give long distance a shot. I would be lying if I said it was smooth sailing from there, but we loved each other through all the hard times and made it through almost 4 years of long distance! We spent a lot of time flying back and forth between Texas and Indiana and a lot of time missing each other! Cam got a job and moved to Indiana to be with me in June of 2020! He proposed on Easter in 2021 at my grandparents house with my whole family there and his family there on a zoom call! I am so thankful for the strength, humility, understanding, and dedication he has shown me over the last 6 years together and I can’t wait for him to be my husband🤍
