Nico and Courtney met briefly in the Fall of 2017 while both attending Chapman University in Orange County, CA. During spring break 2018, providence interceded when Nico and Courtney reconnected in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They dated the rest of college with Nico often finding every way possible to spend time with Courtney; like walking Courtney to class. After graduation in 2019, both Courtney and Nico stayed in Orange County. Nico attended law school and Courtney pursued her career in business. Courtney and Nico’s relationship has allowed their families to join together and share many meaningful experiences. Both families assisted Nico with his covert wedding proposal. He proposed December 27, 2021 on Minitas Beach in the Dominican Republic. Courtney’s extended family was there for a family reunion and Nico’s parents flew over to join in on the surprise. On a quiet stretch of beach with rose petals marking the spot, Nico knelt down and surprised Courtney. She said “Yes.” Courtney and Nico are looking forward to their wedding in Italy and their future together.
