Courtney and Steve's love story began like so many fairytales do – two people, sitting around during the height of Covid, swiping right. After some flirty banter back-and-forth, a clever emoji tastefully shared here-and-there, Steve mustered up the courage to ask Courtney out to one of his favorite bars, Lucky’s Lounge, to see some live music (2021’s version of live music was a simulcast screening of a band in an empty room playing music). Sitting adjacent to the bar at a low-top table, safely not facing the bartender, Courtney and Steve spent the evening talking, laughing, and sharing stories. When Steve accurately named Ripe as the band being played over the speakers, Courtney was instantly heart-struck. She went on to explain how she was friends with the band and had been following them since they had first started (later in their relationship, Steve would learn this “friendship” was very one-sided and that the lead singer had unfollowed Courtney on Instagram). They quickly discovered how much they had in common from a love for music to their close-knit families. Both had cousins in North Reading; their shared friends were uncanny; and when Steve learned that Courtney’s father was a fellow Arrow, he knew he had found the one. A couple short years later, Steve invited a small group of their closest friends down to Savannah where he asked Courtney to put up with him for the rest of their lives. In March '24, the couple again invites those most special to them to Savannah to share their special day.
