We met during our first year at Wilkes University. We became friends after surviving the freshman orientation class together in the fall and a philosophy class (which Courtney definitely shouldn't have been in!) in the spring. We met up again in spring of 2016 to catch up over dinner at the River Grill. Two days later we went on our first ice cream date at Maureen's in Nanticoke and the rest is history!

We went on our first trip together, just the two of us, in November 2019. We went to Cherry Springs State Park for stargazing and hiking. The second night we were there, in the bitter cold at 9pm, he asked if I would marry him. I was incoherent in my excitement; I couldn't believe he was asking if I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. The answer, of course, was a resounding yes, even though I did have to ask him if the word "yes" had actually left my mouth, instead of just unintelligible joy.
