We met helping a drunk girl in college. That's right you read that correctly. It was the year 2018 and I had just moved into a new apartment building with a few months left in my sophomore year of college and little did I know Jeremy was my neighbor. I was running late from "pre-gaming" to get to a sorority party with a few of my friends and Jeremy was running late to get to the bar, due to studying. You can really see where our priorities were at and who the smart one is. As I exited out of my new apartment with my friends I saw a tall handsome blonde standing over a girl who was lying on the floor at the end of the hallway. At this time I walked right on up and asked him who he is and if he is her boyfriend, you know girls need to look out for girls. Jeremy then explained he was just my neighbor and had been there for 20 minutes already trying to help her and find someone who knew her. After some of our investigation skills ( finding the girls key on her wrist). We proceeded to get her into her apartment so she would be safe. We then noticed she was in a sorority and we both called people we knew in this sorority so this girl would not be left alone. We finally got a hold of someone who knew her and they were on their way to the rescue. At this time I tested my flirting skills and talked to the cute guy standing next to me who tried to save a drunk girl. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to work, and as the girl's friends arrived Jeremy and I went our separate ways. However, we thankfully live in a world of social media and so I followed him on Instagram. An entire year went by, and Jeremy graduated from college and I thought my chances were over. However, on my 20th Birthday, I noticed that Jeremy liked a picture I posted on Instagram so I took it upon myself to make the first move. I messaged Jeremy "Hii" and well the rest is history. Our waitress forgot about us on our first date and so our dinner turned into a four-hour conversation. We proceeded to go on more dates and as our generation says he "made it official" during Homecoming of that year. Jeremy lived a little less than an hour from campus and so we dated with a bit of distance at first. I then lived in Prague for five months and we stayed as solid as ever. Once I graduated college I moved back home to Long Island and we proceeded to travel almost every weekend to see one another as he still lived in New Hampshire. Which if you're not from the East Coast that's about 10- 12 hours of driving per weekend. We spent three years of our relationship making distance work before we decided to move in together across the country. I am sure we shocked a lot of our family and friends with this one. Once we arrived in Houston, things just seemed to fall into place. We are both very blessed to have amazing jobs that we love. We then got engaged and shortly after welcomed our first doggie Benny, making us a family of three in 2023. Benny has brought us a lot of joy and has made Houston feel even more like home. We are excited to see what this next chapter of life holds for us. Thank you for taking the time to read our story, we are very excited to spend our special day with you all.
