What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

This event is black tie (tuxedos, suits, formal dresses and gowns). Please be mindful that the celebration will be hosted outdoors in the beautiful Villa Il Galero in Asolo, Province of Treviso, Italy. The groom and others will be in tuxedos, though this is not required. And as much as we know you slay casual Friday, no Canadian tuxedos or casual attire on the big day ;)

What's the best way to RSVP and what is the deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP under the "RSVP" section of the site. We ask that all RSVPs be submitted no later than January 31, 2024.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

We are lucky enough to have everything we need for this next exciting chapter of our lives! The biggest gift of all, of course, is your presence on our big day. However, if you inclined to give a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon fund is deeply appreciated. You can find access to that under the "Registry" section of the site.

Where is Villa Il Galero?

Villa Il Galero is a gorgeous sixteenth-century three-story historical villa in the heart of Asolo, Province of Treviso, Italy. Asolo is approximately 1 hour outside of Venice, Italy. The villa's exact address is below: Via Rocca, 1, 31011 Asolo TV, Italy

What date should I arrive ahead of the wedding?

Answer

The bride and groom, along with their immediate families, will arrive at Villa Il Galero on Monday, April 22, 2024. You are welcome to arrive on the same date, but not required. We recommend arriving in Asolo no later than Tuesday, April 23, 2024 so you can acclimate to any time zone differences and be readily available to join the celebration on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. If you are in Asolo before or on Tuesday, April 23, 2023, we will hold a rehearsal at the property, which is only required for the families/the best men and optional for all others on that Tuesday. Afterwards, all are encouraged to join a rehearsal dinner, hosted at Hotel Ciprani at 6:00 PM.

What is the nearest airport?

Answer

Venice Marco Polo (VCE) is approximately 1 hour from Asolo, Italy. We recommend flying into this airport, whether directly from your original destination or from a connecting flight out of Rome's Fiumicino (FCO), Amsterdam's Schiphol (AMS), etc. This information is also listed under the "Travel" tab of the site.

Transportation to and from Asolo

Answer

There is no train station in Asolo, so the most efficient way to get to Asolo from Venice is by taxi service ($110 - $140) or rental car (price TBD based on vehicle and amount of days - for ex: A 5 seat sedan for 5 days total is roughly $191). Our wedding planner is looking into other possible shuttle services and we will relay any updates to the group via email as the date approaches.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Asolo has a bountiful offering of properties to consider, all within a 10 - 15 minute walking distance from Villa Il Galero. Please see the "Travel" tab of the site to get a list of our recommendations!

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

If you are staying in Asolo, most hotels, including all recommended in the "Travel" section of the site, are walking distance from Villa Il Galero. Additionally, parking is available at Villa Il Galero if you are driving your own car or rental car. The local hotels can also accommodate transportation to the villa should you need it. Please be aware that ride shares like Uber and Lyft are uncommon in Italy, so arranging any transportation needs ahead of time is important if you don't plan to walk.

What time should I arrive?

Guests may start to arrive at 3:15 PM. Please be at the venue no later than 3:45 PM. This is to ensure you are seated before the ceremony begins at 4:00 PM.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

For guests who will be driving themselves, there is parking available at the property. Please note this need in your RSVP so we can ensure you have the space you need.

Will there be any other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

This information is available under the "Schedule" section of the site. We will be hosting a rehearsal during the day of Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Villa Il Galero. This is only required for the bride, groom, their immediate families, and best men. However, you are welcome to join and enjoy the property and grounds. Please stay tuned for upcoming information on the rehearsal dinner that same evening.
