Granny's Tacos
Unassuming little taco truck with some of the most delicious breakfast tacos in Austin. Right off 6th street, just a block or two from either hotel.
Cosmic Saltillo
A great breakfast/lunch option with coffee, cocktails/beer, and food trucks. Excellent vibes.
Micklethwait Craft Meats
Our favorite BBQ spot in the city! Make sure to grab a cold beer or a delicious baked good from Saddle Up too (the little bar/bakery on site). We recommend going for an early lunch before things start to sell out.
la Barbecue
One of the absolute best BBQ spots in the city. We recommend going for an early lunch around 11 as the line can get pretty long.
Oddwood Brewing & KG BBQ
Right around the corner from our apartment, this is one of our go-to neighborhood spots. KG BBQ is an Egyptian barbecue trailer on-site at Oddwood Brewing. Pair a cold beer or a crisp white wine with some of the most unique and delicious BBQ you'll ever find.
Uptown Sports Club
Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night drinks. Located across the street from the East Austin Hotel.
Suerte
Modern Mexican restaurant on 6th Street if you're looking for a dinner spot in East Austin while you're here. We highly recommend the suadero tacos.
Zilker Brewing
Great local beers. Great vibes. Great merch. Right down the street from both hotels. You'll probably stroll past this place at some point during the weekend, so why not pop in for a beverage?
Whisler's
One of our favorites places for a cocktail. Huge outdoor patio right on 6th street, and right across the street from Lazarus Brewing, the location of our Saturday post-wedding party!
The White Horse
An Austin honky-tonk institution that's right down the street from both hotels. If you're looking for some great live music to two-step to, this is your spot. Or you can just hang by the bar and watch other people two-step (that's what me and Courtney do).
