Where It All Started

Who Really Knows...

Our families have known each other long before the thought of the two of us together was even in existence, or so we thought. Like all good parents, they knew what was best and the plotting had, unbeknownst to us, already begun. We had always known of each other and I had always had a crush on Chad ( who didn't! ). I would often babysit his little sister ( secret plotting we later found out! ) and even then our interactions were slim to none. Years passed and then we both caught word that the other could just maybe, quite possibly be interested in going out on a date...then BOOM we went on our first date on July 26, 2015. After that it's all history!

The Proposal

12 . 18 . 16

It was a girls night for me and a boys night for Chad, or so I thought. The girls and I were going to go to Opryland Hotel to look at the Christmas lights and have dinner! It worked out great for me that I was going to get to hang out with my friends and Chad would be busy hanging out with his friends, so the fact that it happened to all be planned on the same night at the same time was A-okay with me! Not catching on to any of the obvious mishaps that had occurred that day, Chad dropped me off at my house so that I could go meet up with the girls. He left in a hurry which I thought was strange, but I didn't think too much about it. I changed outfits 12 times and ended up wearing what I had on at the beginning, all the while Chad was going a million miles an hour trying to get to Opryland where the rest of our friends and my sisters were waiting on him. We got to Opryland and started walking around, looking at all the lights Opryland had to offer. I was getting tired of walking and, only because it was tradition, we decided to wrap up our time there after stopping by "the spot". "The spot" is a little bench sitting in the corner next to a fountain down in the bottom of the conservatory of the hotel where my dad proposed to my mom and my entire life we had made that stop every time we visited the hotel. After getting a little lost looking for it, I finally figured out where we were and took the lead. As we approached, I rounded the corner and there was Chad...My friends stopped following, Chad took me down to the same bench my parents got engaged on, and he asked me to marry him! Of course I said YES! Next thing I know the rest of our friends started popping out of all the plants around us! It was the best night! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of those that we love most! See you in June!
