Alex and Court grew up only 10 miles from each other in North Jersey but first met in Hoboken in the Fall of 2019 in the most Millennial way: Hinge. After some initial banter via text, the first date was on for a cute wine bar in Hoboken. In classic Courtney fashion, she pushed the date back from 6:00pm to 7:00pm and then 7:30pm and finally 8:00pm because being on time is an inconvenience and Soul Cycle a necessity. Alex, the gentleman that he was, was understanding and amenable to the request. Alex chose to use his free time waiting for his future wife in a productive manner: he headed to a local watering hole with the boys and indulged in a few confidence juices (news flash: they worked). The night was free flowing and filled with endless jokes mostly inspired by Alex’s childish sense of humor (think Adam Sandler) which Courtney surprisingly found funny. Flash forward to the end of the night, Alex walked Courtney to the door of her apartment which was conveniently located next to one of the rowdier bars on this side of the Hudson. Before heading home, Alex secured the goodnight kiss but only to realize that the entirety of the bar patrons, who had a front row seat to the kiss, were rooting Alex and Court on, thanks to those obnoxiously oversized windows. Needless to say, we didn’t let the crowd down and the rest is history!
