The day started out just like any other, it was one of the last days of summer and just like any other teenager, I had big plans to do absolutely nothing. Everything was going as planned until I received a call from my friend asking if I was able to hangout and if he could invite a girl and her friend over, who I have never met before. I said, "Sure, no problem". Little did I know, this was going to be the day that introduces me to the deep solemn of happiness and love that I know as a constant today. They arrive and my friend introduces me to her and her friend. My first thought was, she was very friendly, but also seemed like someone you do not want on your bad side. boy was I right. Her name was Kenzie. A couple of days go by and everyone came back over to my house to figure out what the plan was that night. While there I started cracking my knuckles, Kenzie started teasing me to stop cracking them and I didn't stop. Then she started to try and crack her knuckles knowing I didn't like it either. She kept trying and the only way I was able to stop her was to hold her hands for a second and then let go, just for her to try again, so then I would hold them for a minute then release, then longer, and longer not knowing these were the hands I would be holding for the rest of my life. Later that night we all went to the movies and somehow we end up sitting next to each other, about ten minutes in she starts trying to crack her knuckles and I knew exactly what she was trying to do. I end up taking her hand and she looked at me and gave me this smile that I still can see until this day. All I could think about was how perfect her hand fit in mine, almost like it was meant for mine. We end up parting ways that night for me to realize I forgot my phone charger in her car, so, I texted her asking if she could bring it to me. When she arrived I asked her if she wanted to hangout and that was the first time we were together alone and have been inseparable ever since.
After spending seven years with Kenzie and sharing a lot of big miles stones together I knew that she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with and I could not fathom an existence without her being there to start my day and her there to end my day, my sunrise and my sunset. I knew that I wanted tot take the next step in proposing to her, to ask her to marry me. To start I had to work up the courage to approach Kenzie's father Bill one night after a family night out playing top golf, till this day he will bust my chops and still tell me that he never said yes but I was so thankful that he did. The next step was planning the actual proposal. After planning a proposal before I proposed to her in the front row of a Brad Paisley concert to him singing our song "She's Everything" I did not have a ring due to the jeweler denying to sell me a ring without Kenzie coming in first to try a sample ring that was 4 months out from arriving and killed what surprise there would be. She said yes but I needed to get her a ring and now we could find a ring she loves. Looking for rings she found four different rings that she could not decide between and that is when we had a ring designed from all four of the other rings. The rings turned out perfect but I would not let her have it until I find the right time to ask again, the right way. That right time did not come until we went on a family vacation to Kona, Hawaii but what no one knew was the day we were all meant to fly home I told Kenzie and her family that I have purchased tickets to Maui for Kenzie and I to have our own vacation and I already had room booked at the prestigious Ritz for one week on the beach. While we were there we did so much exploring and created beautiful memories that we will always have of just each other. One night we went out to an exclusive dinner, afterwards I proposed to her in our suite when we got back. Finally everything was perfectly complete!
