Haley and Mike met on the first day of the second semester of freshman year, in a class in the Park school, through their mutual friend, Courtney Tambasco. Haley was suffering from the flu, but somehow still managed to make conversation. To no one's surprise, their friendship blossomed over a heated Red Sox - Yankees rivalry. A few weeks later, Mike waited outside of their Intro to Field Production class to ask Haley to go tray sledding and grab some hot chocolate during the next big snowstorm. The sledding date never happened... they watched a movie instead, and it's been love ever since.
Mike had Haley plan her own way down to Pier C in Hoboken, by making her think that they were getting dinner with friends. When their friends were "running late", they took a walk up the pier, where Mike popped the question! They put their initials and engagement date on a lock that they hooked together onto the pier, before heading to dinner. When they arrived at Grand Vin, their families were both there waiting, and they enjoyed a beautiful dinner together. Afterwards, they headed to the Stewed Cow, where to Haley's surprise, many of their closest friends were standing by to celebrate!
Even though we had to postpone our original date of June 6, 2020, we decided to still get married! We had a small ceremony and reception with just our immediate family. We had such a wonderful day, and it made us even more excited for the celebration with all of our family and friends!
