We are so excited to celebrate with you!

In 2015, during our senior year of high school, Nicole needed a date to prom. She asked her friend Jenna to find her a date. Jenna recommended Cory, so that she could wear the pair of heels she wanted. Even though we were complete strangers, Cory agreed, and we have been inseparable ever since. Our relationship has weathered long distance, college athletics, nursing school, and many other obstacles. In the end, neither of us could imagine life without the other. It has been so fun to grow up together these last 6 years, and we cannot wait to start our lives together as husband and wife.

April 2015- Cory and Nicole begin texting about prom details, and met for the first time in person at Cory's prom after party in Surfside, TX May 2015- Cory and Nicole start officially dating and go to Nicole's prom together July 2015- Nicole leaves for school in Arkansas August 2015- Cory leaves for school in Austin, TX August 2015- January 2017- Cory and Nicole are long distance January 2017- Nicole moves to Austin, Texas May 2019- Cory and Nicole graduate from St. Edward's University and both move back to the Houston area December 2019- Cory proposes in Austin, TX June 2021- #MeettheMcKendree's !!!

In December of 2019, Cory and Nicole went to Austin to watch some basketball games at their alma mater, St. Edward's University, and spend time with some college friends. Cory suggested that on Friday they go to the Boardwalk at Lady Bird Lake, a place that they had never visited while they lived in Austin. Cory had heard from friends that it had a beautiful view of downtown Austin and thought that it would be the perfect place to propose. The plan was to go to the boardwalk, dinner, and then Mozart's (a coffee shop in Austin with a beautiful Christmas light show). We walked down the boardwalk, sat on a bench and talked about how much fun it was to live in Austin and how much that city and all of the memories that we had made there meant to us. Then, Cory said that he would like to make one more memory there... and he got down on one knee! Nicole didn't know it but one of her best friends (and bridesmaids) Hailey was there in disguise taking pictures the whole time. It was the perfect, most magical day.
