It was a dark, humid night at the Jersey Shore in the summer of 2015 when Natalie and Cory both swiped right. Unbeknownst to either of them at the time, that flick of the finger would change their lives forever. Soon, they were travelling up and down I-95 to visit each other in their respective cities of New York and Philadelphia, sharing with each other some of their favorite aspects of each location. It became clear in 2016 that they both wanted to live in the same city together, and the tough decision of whether to move to NYC or Philly had to be made. Natalie lived in a Manhattan apartment on the Hudson River with a view of the Statue of Liberty. Cory lived in a third floor walk-up above a questionable massage parlor with a view of the worst bar in Philly, Fat Tuesday. After much deliberation, they somehow decided their best option was for Cory to move to NYC. Despite Natalie’s aversion to sharing an ounce of her personal space with strangers, their relationship began to truly flourish in the city as they shared mutual loves of exploring new restaurants, attending live events, and observing unique citizens on the subways. Living together also helped them learn a great deal about what made the other unique, such as Natalie’s ability to break literally anything and Cory’s insistence on constantly sharing trivial facts that nobody cares about. They have traveled the world and country together, creating lasting memories in places like China, Cambodia, New Orleans, Chicago, Lake Tahoe and Florida. In 2020, they moved back to one of their favorite Philadelphia neighborhoods and are ecstatic to be close to their families and many of their friends who have all become such important parts of both of their lives. They look forward to celebrating with you on May 22nd, 2021!
