We completely understand! We hope that no one feels guilty, as you must make the best decision for your family, prior obligations, and your budget. You will be met with total understanding and love from the both of us. Please let us know individually or through RSVP.
Ceremony & Reception: Beach Casual For men, nice shorts or linen pants (khakis) and a button down is appropriate. For women, a nice summer dress or sundress is perfect. Please consider a second outfit for the reception. Jamaica can get pretty hot so we want everyone to be comfortable on the dance floor.
We know that this wedding is costly to attend so we are not expecting gifts, your presence alone is a gift. We do have a registry set up on this website for our honeymoon fund and other little funds to help towards weekend getaways, but please do not feel obligated to give a gift.
Yes, you do need a passport. If you currently have a passport, please make sure it will not expire before your travel date. If you do not have a passport, please make sure you apply for one asap. They take a few months to come in so the earlier the better. We recommend applying a minimum of 3 months in advance as a precaution.
Don't forget your passport! Swimwear, wedding day attire, loungewear for around the resort, flip-flops or sandals, SUNSCREEN, sneakers (if you plan on doing an excursion off-resort), aloe, first aid/medicine kit (headaches, stomach aches, etc), small beach bag for poolside accessories. Bring an insulated cup to keep those margaritas cool in the sun. Towels are provided everywhere, so save yourself the suitcase space. Gratuities are included in the resort cost and tips are not expected. You're welcome to tip staff at your own discretion to acknowledge outstanding service, and if so US dollars are accepted anywhere at the resort.
Vaccines are not required to enter Jamaica and there are no testing requirements (at the moment) to return back to the US. If any of this changes, we will share information on our Facebook Wedding Group.
