The story of Brittney and Cornelius

To a lifetime of adventures together

We met the summer of 2013 through his sister Martiyha. Martiyha and I were very close and Cornelius had recently moved back in town from Texas. Cornelius, the big brother that he is, offered to spend time with Martiyha to help her out around the house and with his niece Kaydin. He would come by so often that we eventually ran into each other. He was super charming and so handsome that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of him. Time would go by and eventually he made his move to get to know me. We started learning more and more about each other. He asked me on a date, and of course I said yes, but not too eagerly. ;) Our first date we went out to eat at On the Border. I couldn't stop smiling at him. We instantly had a great connection. I admired how he supported his family and the fact that he was a man with a plan. Cornelius was the sweetest young man a girl could ask for. He was good looking, smelled amazing, fit, and did I mention handsome? He proved himself true time after time. If I needed anything, he was there to lend a helping hand. He was serious, intentional and PERSISTENT! Lol! I could finally let me hair down and have some fun. We started making memories together and everywhere you saw him you saw me, and vise versa. Soon I was his date for his brother Titus’s wedding. Who would have known that at the end of this trip I would be HIS GIRLFRIEND! We broke the news to Martiyha on the way back. After Martiyha expressed her support for us, firmly making sure we always treat each other right and support each other's dreams she gave us her seal of approval. This was the beginning of our love story. <3 On November 21,2018 Cornelius asked me if I would like to go to my brother Michael's house to play poker. We pulled up to the house and as I walked into the door my family was standing there holding a sign that said, "Will you marry me. Turn around". He was down on one knee and I said, "YES". This was one of the happiest days of my life.
