Allison and a friend began going to rugby games in 2011 to watch her friend's crush play. Her crush turned into a boyfriend which meant the two girls went to even more rugby games. The boyfriend happened to be good friends with Corey and the more games Allison went to, the more time her and Corey spent together. It wasn't long before Allison and Corey were talking everyday and in November 2011, Corey finally worked up the nerve to ask Allison on their first date. They went putt putting and the loser had to plan the next date. Corey will tell you he had to try really hard to lose so he could plan the next date. Well he lost and planned the next date for November 11, 2011. The two went out to dinner and then talked on Allison's front porch for hours. Corey left to go home, only to call back 5 minutes later and ask to come back. When he came back, he asked Allison to be his girlfriend at 11:11 on 11/11/11. Turns out that was pretty lucky and the rest is history.
On July 14th, Corey was supposed to take Allison to dinner to celebrate her graduation. On the way to dinner, he said they had time to kill, so he suggested going to look at the Champions Walk Way at Enterprise Center (where the St. Louis Blues play hockey). This walk way is especially important to Allison and her family because they have a brick for her dad in the walk. Corey had never seen the brick and they had been talking about going to see it for a while, so his suggestion made total sense to Allison. They got to the walkway, found the brick, and took a few pictures. Next thing Allison knows, Corey was grabbing her hands, getting down on one knee over her dad's brick, and asking her to marry him. He said he wanted a way for her dad to still be involved in this special time. Allison then quickly said the easiest "YES!" of her entire life!
