A favorite of ours! Kennebunkport lies south of Boothbay Harbor. A small picturesque town with fantastic restaurants and beautiful boutiques. Have a delicious seafood meal at Hurricane and stop into Ryan's for a drink!
Portland is another stop along the way, a great introduction of Mid-Coast Maine. Stop into Street & Co, one of our favorite seafood restaurants. Portland is filled with history and live music. A fun way to explore the city is through a pub crawl. Oxbow Brewery is a favorite of ours!
One of the most special places we have been to as a couple. This remote island lies 10 miles off the coast of Boothbay Harbor. There you will see artists at work capturing the breathtaking views. Enjoy exploring the many hiking trails the island has to offer. Pack a cooler for the day or stay the night at The Island Inn. The island now holds an awesome brewery, just make sure you catch the ferry home! Ferry tickets can be purchased through the link provided.
A great neighboring town just 30 minutes from Boothbay Harbor. Known for its oysters and nearby Pemaquid Lighthouse, this town is filled with incredible restaurants and unique shops. Grab a cup of chowder and listen to live music at Schooner Landing!
This national park is at the top of our bucket list! Acadia National Park can be found just under 3 hours north of Boothbay Harbor. Filled with wildlife and history this park is one of the most popular in its region. It resides near the the town of Bar Harbor.
