Our favorite coffee, they roast it all in house at the King St location- get a bag to take home ;) The Prince St location has an upstairs balcony with views of the Old Town waterfront and a wine bar! Chloe’s Order: Iced Vanilla Latte w/ Oat Milk Alex’s Order: Iced Red Eye w/ Oat Milk Or if you’re feeling festive, check out their seasonal syrups!
Our bagel spot! Get a coffee at St. Elmo’s across the street while you’re there. (Del Ray is an amazing neighborhood! There’s lots of good spots there. Including pizza, all vegan donuts and a seasonal pop up bar!) Our Order: Reuben Bagel (only available after 11)
A little slice of Italy in the middle of busy Alexandria! The ambiance genuinely reminded me of Florence and their aperol spritz brought back memories of Summer 2022! If you do go, get a side of the focaccia bread smothered in good olive oil and maldon salt. It’s only $2 and you won’t regret it! Chloe’s Order: Aperol Spritz & The Stracci Alex’s Order: Tom Collin’s & The Brooklyner (& focaccia to share)
If not for the amazing cocktails, go for the appetizers and sandwiches. Truffle fries, charcuterie, meatball subs, you name it. Fun fact: the owner of People’s Drug opened the shop in memory of the old peoples drug stores where he would go and order a burger and soda as a kid. He wanted to make an adult version of that fond childhood memory! Our Order: Impossible Meatball Sub w/ Truffle Fries instead of Chips + whatever cocktail looks best, you really can’t go wrong here (Honorable mentions: The Board, Fried Pickles & The Cuban)
A new bagel & coffee shop in the middle of Old Town Alexandria! They have amazing sandwich and deli options Chloe’s Order: Cheddar Bagel w/ Garlic-Herb CC and Bacon + an Iced Cinna-Bun Latte w/ oat milk Alex’s Order: The Sun City w/o Egg + Red-eye w/ oat milk
For those who won’t be getting ready with us the morning of our wedding, I’d recommend checking out the old town farmers market! Located in the heart of old town, this is the longest running farmers market in the US! It’s open from 7am-12pm every Saturday, rain or shine!
Take a relaxing stroll along the Old Town Alexandria Waterfront! Grab some treats at the creamery or Ben & Jerry’s, watch the street performers and get a bite to eat at one of the many waterfront restaurants!
A spooky fun tourist attraction! “Located in the historic port city of Alexandria, Virginia, Nightly Spirits currently offers different ghost tour options just outside of Washington, DC. Famous for its cobblestone streets and colonial architecture, discover the darker side of early American history when you book an experience in Old Town Alexandra.”
We urge you to check out all of the Smithsonian Museums, Monuments and Botanical Garden if time permits! Especially the Natural History Museum. A must do for anyone who hasn’t visited DC before! *disclaimer: if you are going to venture into DC, make sure you try to plan around rush hour! A lot of the easy roads that we use are either closed one way or full of traffic, it doubles your commute!*
This local marsh is one of our favorite spots to walk and do photography! You might see beavers, muskrats, hawks, ducks, frogs and lots of red winged blackbirds!
The place we got engaged, and started our love of wildlife photography! A beautiful naturally preserved island in the middle of DC. A fond getaway from city life.
Another one of our favorite spots to walk! You might just see a Bald Eagle!
Our venue is located right next to this gorgeous state park!
