We actually met online and after a few days of attempting to get to know each other, we decided to meet in person. We met for dinner and five and a half hours of constant conversation later we knew there was a connection!
I had a long day at work but Cooper was bored on his off day and wanted to go visit the Old State Capital in Baton Rouge. I had never been before and heard it was beautiful. As I was admiring the stained glass, I looked over and he was on one knee! Of course I said yes, and here we are! We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you! See you in March!
In March 2020 we announced that we would sadly be postponing our celebration, but "luckily" for us, the COVID-19 pandemic decided to hit Louisiana 5 days before our scheduled wedding date. As we already had our marriage license ready to go, we decided to improvise and have a small, intimate ceremony on March 18th, instead of our planned date, March 21st. Although we weren't able to have the big celebration like we planned, we are so happy it worked out that we were able to get married before things really shut down and even that wouldn't be an option. We hope that you will still be able to celebrate with us in March 2021 when we reschedule our reception that will now double as a One Year Anniversary party! Thank you all for your support and understanding and we hope to see you for the party!
