Amy's Version: Our first date was at Nopalito in San Francisco in Fall 2021 (thanks Hinge for connecting us!). It clearly went well because we closed the restaurant down and the staff was cleaning up around us (I do remember thinking I talked way too much because I was nervous). Jack ended the date by inviting me to a party he was hosting the following weekend and I rudely said no. Thankfully, that didn't deter Jack and we went out again. A few dates later and some bragging on his end about how good he is at snowboarding, I was convinced he was the one for me. Turns out I was right and have truly found my person / best friend who is so funny, kind, fun, grounded and overall just amazing! Jack's Version: There are multiple instances and experiences throughout our relationship when I thought "Yeah, she's the one." One of my favorites came by way of a solo drive up to Tahoe after a major storm. I borrowed Amy's car, aka Silvey, to drive up to snowboard with my cousins. On a windy and steep decline I lost control of the car and hit the side of a barricade. I was horrified that I crashed Amy's beloved car and called her in a panic. What she said after I explained myself in a state of distress proved everything I loved about her: "I don't care about the car. As long as you're safe that's all I care about." Not a lot of people would give you that same reaction unless they truly cared and loved you. Amy is the most selfless, caring, kind and loving partner I could ever ask for. I'm very lucky to call her my wife soon and cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
