**BALLER ALERT** BALLER ALERT** The Don Cesar is the most famous, historic and luxe hotel in St. Pete. Built in 1928, the "pink palace" has enjoyed visitors such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Al Capone. During WWII, the hotel served as a sub-base hospital and later a VA Recreational Office before being restored to resort glory in the 70s. It's been named by Conde Naste Traveller, Trip Advisor, and U.S. News and Travel as a "Best Hotel," but you can decide for yourself. At $500/night, be prepared to make it rain.
