Hike Lake Isabelle
For a quintessential Colorado alpine experience, visit the Brainard Lake Recreation Area and hike to Lake Isabelle via the Pawnee Pass Trail . It is 90 minutes from Denver and the perfect way for visitors to see the Rocky Mountains via a moderate hike with minimal elevation gain. It does start at 10,000 ft so be sure to drink lots of water! To hike Lake Isabelle, a day use parking reservation for the Long Lake Trailhead is required. Parking reservations ($14) go on sale at 8:00 am MT / 10:00 a.m. ET the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend and will be continually released on a 14-day rolling window.
