While Connor and Kate did have a class together freshman year at Gonzaga, it wasn't until after graduating in May of 2013 that they began to spend lots of time together. Finally, Connor got the nerve to ask Kate to dinner, where they proceeded to order the exact same meal, right down to the drinks. They knew things would probably work out when the rest of the date included walking dogs and watching Harry Potter.
One of Connor and Kate's favorite TV shows is Treehouse Masters. Since becoming fans, they've dreamed of staying at Treehouse Point, a bed and breakfast in the trees. Connor began planning the proposal a year in advance so he was a little anxious when the day finally arrived. He picked Kate up from the airport and after checking into their treehouse, Trillium, he asked Kate to marry him. While they were really hoping for a full three year engagement, they had to settle for two and a half.
Even though COVID interfered with their original wedding plans, Connor and Kate weren't going to let it interfere with actually getting married. In a small ceremony at a local park, Connor and Kate shared their vows and signed on the dotted line!
Just because Connor and Kate are technically already married doesn't mean they want to forgo a larger celebration with friends and family! There will be a short ceremony and then lots of celebrating!
