India & Connor both grew up playing soccer and loved to watch the sport. When the Atlanta United team came to town, they were instant fans. In the summer of 2017, India and Connor both happened to be attending an ATLUTD watch party at Three Taverns Brewery in Decatur with friends. In the middle of the game, Connor got up from his table to get a beer. The bar was extremely crowded and India ended up taking a seat at the same table. When Connor returned, he noticed this new face now sitting at his table and struck up a conversation. They chatted briefly and Connor mentioned he was going to Twain's after the game to play some pool and invited India along. India wasn't sure if her group of friends would be interested in joining so she gave Connor her number instead. Soon after, one of India's friends had tracked her down to let her know that their Uber had arrived and everyone was leaving. India never made it to Twain's, so the next morning Connor asked India to brunch. However, in true India fashion, she already had brunch plans. Instead, they ended up having their 1st date on the 4th of July at the Atlanta United game. India was skeptical of showing up to the tailgate seven hours before kick off. Connor, on the other hand, was there at noon as a dedicated fan and member of the Resurgence supporter group. India showed up an hour before but still enjoyed all of the festivities. There was great food, drinks, games, a drumline, chanting, and a walk through the tunnel to Bobby Dodd stadium. Connor had secured front row seats in the supporter section right at the capo stand. It was a great game! In the 55th minute, Atlanta United scored a goal to tie the game and they had their 1st kiss in celebration :) The game ended 4-2 Atlanta, so afterwards in celebration, India and Connor went to Republic Social House for a late dinner to end the night. Soon after, they were inseparable and the rest is history!

The 1st five years of India and Connor's relationship was filled with so much love and joy. They had adopted their dog, Riley, in 2018. Bought their 1st house in 2020. Traveled to many places together. And all the little moments in between. A few months after their five year anniversary, India and Connor had a trip planned to Napa, California with two of their friends. During this trip to Napa, they stayed in Yountville a little north of the downtown area. The group visited several new wineries, ate at delicious restaurants, and did some shopping. Prior to the trip, Connor sat down with Jamie and Ross to let them know he was planning to propose. With their help, he chose the perfect location! Amizetta Winery sits at the base of Howell Mountain with panoramic views of the valley and Lake Hennessey. While they were being seated, Jamie "disappeared" for a few minutes to let their host know that Connor had planned to propose while they were there. During the tasting, the host told the group about a new private pavilion being built at the very top of the property that would be exclusively available to wine club members in the future. However, he offered to take the group up to see it for a portion of the tasting. Once they were at the top, he conveniently needed to take the utility cart back down to grab a special blend to taste. While he was gone, the group wanted to take some pictures of the stunning views. Although India thought Connor might propose on this trip and kept eyeballing his pockets for a ring box, she was completely oblivious to what was about to happen. While posing for picture, Connor got down on one knee to ask India to marry him. She instantly said yes to her best friend and joyful tears filled her eyes! Jamie and Ross were there to record the moment for their friends :) The rest of the day was a celebration! The group toured one more winery, which came with a hidden bourbon room. The group toasted the engagement with a 20-year Pappy Van Winkle. Once back to their hotel, India and Connor called friends and family to tell them the wonderful news! Later that evening, they had a beautiful meal and were elated the rest of the trip.
