It's Almost Showtime!

Like any modern romance, Connor messaged Derek on multiple different dating apps while Derek was playing hard to get. After chatting on multiple different apps, Derek finally threw him a bone and agreed to go out with him.

On the surface, our first date sounds like a classic: the time-tested dinner and a movie. That is until you hear about the ugly crying. Derek agreed to go out with Connor after he proposed to buy dinner and a movie! Little did Derek know, the movie they were seeing was Christopher Robin. Connor didn't know this at the time, but this film was going to emotionally wreck him, to the point where he was crying on a first date in front of someone he really liked. So, right then and there, Derek got the full glimpse into all of Connor's quirks which [surprisingly] didn't scare him away.

The discussion of marriage was a long time coming after almost 5 years of being together. When Connor decided to pop the question, he put his creative skills to use. He created a custom art piece featuring the custom made ring and the classic phrase 'Will you marry me?'. Once the design was finished, he put it in a colorful picture frame and had Derek open it along with the rest of his birthday gifts on February 17, 2023. Connor's timing was impeccable, as he knew Derek didn't want a proposal in front of people. So, he got down on one knee right before guests started arriving for Dereks' birthday celebration.
