Yes. We have a room block at both The Graduate and The Westin in town. You can check our travel page for room block information!
The dress code for our wedding is black tie optional. Ladies are welcome to wear floor length gowns or fancier cocktail dresses, and gentlemen are welcome to wear a tux or a suit.
We will be providing shuttles from The Graduate & The Westin hotels to the Country Club of Virginia, which is where the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will all be taking place. Shuttle service at the two hotels are provided at 3:40pm. If you are driving yourself to the wedding, there will be valet service provided at the front of the club.
Friday, 10/29: Welcome party will begin at 8pm! Saturday, 10/30: Please arrive at The Country Club of Virginia by 4:15 latest. If you're staying at The Graduate or The Westin, there will be shuttles to get you to the ceremony on time (3:40 pickup). The ceremony starts at 4:30 sharp.
If your invitation says another person's name or says “and Guest,” then yes. If not, then we would prefer if it was just you
The ceremony will be held outside, weather pending. The reception will be held entirely outside, on the patio. There will be heaters if needed, but please keep in mind the weather when planning your outfits!
After the ceremony, you will head to cocktail hour up on the patio!
Yes. There will be an early bird shuttle going to The Westin at 9:30. There will also be shuttles at the end of the night to go to the after party or back to the hotels.
Good question! Unfortunately, we don't know because the weather varies a lot this time of year. More often than not around this time of year, it tends to be in the 60-70s during the day and can dip down into the 50s at night.
We love that there are a lot of children and babies in the family (yay!), but unfortunately we will not be having any children at the wedding unless they are part of the wedding party. The reception is cocktail style (no sit down dinner), so it is not very kid-friendly. Please reach out if you would like to bring your children to Richmond anyway and we can provide babysitters! *if you live out of town and your baby is very young and still nursing, we understand if you will not be comfortable having them with a sitter. Please reach out directly if this is the case*
