We met at our first Air Force assignment in Colorado Springs, Colorado after Connor walked into the wrong room and saw Ana ~attempting~ to be studious during her training (ask Ana about this - she's NOT still upset that no one in the class picked her for their jeopardy team). A few months later after officially meeting, we started spending time together outside of work, and basically never left each other's side. Connor even let Ana’s puppy, Lily, come to his house after some convincing (now she runs the place). 3 years later and after skiing almost every weekend we could, a trip to Europe, a couple of quarantines, new jobs and 2 moves across the country, we now own a townhouse together outside of D.C. with our 2 cats and dog. We can't wait to show you what Northern Virginia is all about!
The weekend after Ana finally moved out to Virginia, Connor wanted to go pick out a Christmas tree from a tree farm near us. He had been talking about it all week, and Ana thought he was just super into the Christmas spirit as usual! Once we arrived at the tree farm, she thought it was odd that he forgot the saw in the car, but still suspected nothing. It turns out, most Christmas trees are already chopped down by the time we got there on December 5th. Ana could tell Connor was determined to find one after walking around for a while, so she finally pointed to one that she liked. We walked over and decided it was the one. While Ana thought Connor was bending down to chop down the tree, he turned around and proposed instead. It was the perfect way to surprise her without making a scene, something Ana dreads - its the little things that make us a perfect match!
