How We Met (according to Connor)

Abbie and I first met during winter break of my sophomore year of college. I was home for break and met her at Chick-fil-A while we were working outside together. All I knew was that she was Sarah's sister at the time. The next time we interacted wasn't until the very start of COVID when I came home from school. When the pandemic began, I came home and spent a lot of time with family during the lockdown and did not work at first, but what I would do is go through the Chick-fil-A drive-thru almost every day with my friends (Bo, Jack, & Ben) and we'd sit in the back of our cars and hang 6 feet apart as everyone was doing at the time. One day Abbie saw on social media that I was there…. again…. probably like the fourth day in a row. So she message me saying "Why don't you work? You're here all the time anyway." Shortly after we started going on car dates where we would pull our cars up in a parking lot and talk for a while after she got off work. A few weeks after I started working again and we really started hanging out a lot more. I definitely won her over with my craft coffee skills.. that's what did it. Now after taking a million polaroids, drinking a million cups of coffee, and laughing with the funniest girl I know for a million hours… she is going to be my wife. Thank you Jesus!

How We Met (according to Abbie)

Here’s the long version of the story… Let's start this off by explaining how I even knew who Connor Brown was. It all started when I got hired at Chick-fil-a back in 2019 (which was also my freshman year of college) I remember my sister Sarah said to me, "You should date Connor Brown!" Those of you who know me know that I just brushed that off. A few weeks after, I met Jack, one of Connor's best friends who was my Freshman guide at Olivet. I told Jack that my sister said I should date Connor, in which his response was “Yeah there’s no way, Connor is waaayyy too good for you.” Of course, Jack argues that he didn’t say that now. He most definitely did. Later that semester, I met Connor because I got to work with him while he was home for Christmas break and thought nothing much of it other than he was a sweet boy. Shortly after COVID became a thing, I had been working non-stop at Chick-fil-A and I saw Connor there about every other shift. I had enough of seeing him relaxing while I was working, so I slid up on his Instagram story and said “You’re here every day, why don’t you just work?” And then he kept messaging me… I didn’t even know what to do, so I kept messaging him. A LOT. Until one day he brought me coffee while I was working (not gonna lie I was FREAKING out). Yes, he’s the sweetest boy ever. Connor is the most thoughtful person I know. He knew how to make me feel special from the day he first interacted with me. Following that, our getting to know each other consisted of a lot of Instagram messaging, texting, FaceTiming, going on walks, and car dates. Oh, and we didn’t officially start dating until after we first kissed, and I asked Connor “So since we kissed, does that mean we’re dating?” His response was something like, “Um, yeah I think so!” and the rest is history. Now I get to marry Connor Brown!
