Honestly, my first memory of Thomas was the day we did these hill sprints, and I was partnered with this man who was going so fast, I got almost no break when it was his turn to run up the hill. But that's not where our story began. Our story began on deployment. We were just friends at first. He would come in and watch tv shows and movies and play card games, keeping us night shift workers occupied. He would listen to my rants about the dramas of deployment and make me feel just a little bit better. Isn't that how it always starts? Over time we fell in love. He would carry me piggyback for miles when I was sleepy and buy me flowers on his lunch break. He gives me his hoodie when I'm cold (which is all the time) and puts up with my constantly changing thoughts and emotions. Also, he doesn't mind making me coffee and I love that because I really love coffee. We've had all sorts of adventures since our start, skydiving, marathoning, travelling, adopting FOUR cats, moving across the country, buying a condo and starting school and many more adventures to come. Did somebody say Europe?
