Conner and Mikenna both started attending Prestoncrest Church of Christ in 2022. While Mikenna attended every Discover Young Adult class, activity, and event, Conner only went to Sunday mornings...their paths never crossed. In February 2023 Prestoncrest hosted Telling the Story, an evangelism conference. At the conference, Mikenna was chatting with other Discover attendees and turned to see Conner sitting nearby. The social butterfly that Mikenna is, she went over and tried to make friends with Conner. Unfortunately, Conner wanted no part of that. Flash forward to September, Conner had been attending the Discover Thursday night class since July and finally went to one of the social events (planned by Mikenna) at Urban Air Trampoline Park. This is where the friendship truly began and they started texting daily. Finally, on December 18th, Conner asked Mikenna to go on their first date. On January 7th, after a LONG Christmas break, Conner asked Mikenna to be his girlfriend. And on June 8th, Conner asked Mikenna to be his wife. And she said yes.
