It all started the first day back after winter break going into my final semester at Montana State University Billings. Little did I know that this was the day that I would first lay eyes on my future wife. I remember seeing her in the gym and thinking to myself “what is a girl this beautiful doing in the MSUB weight room?” I ended up coming back to the gym every day at that time in hopes of seeing her again. After a few weeks of awkward eye contact, we finally started up a conversation. There was an instant connection between us, we found out her cousins are good family friends of ours, she likes to fish, and her family owns a cabin on the Kenai River (huge bonus). How did I find the perfect girl in the MSUB gym? It was meant to be. I instantly fell in love with her bubbly personality. She is easy to talk to, hardworking, confident and can light up any room she walks into. I immediately knew that this girl was something special. After meeting her family, I realized why she turned out so great. Fast forward through many wine nights, camping trips, lake days and family events, I knew that I couldn’t live without her and proposed to her on January 20, 2022. The rest, as they say, is history.

In early 2019, I was placed in Billings, Montana for my upper division nursing courses, and I was going to be there for two and half years. Upon moving to Billings, I didn't know anyone except my three sets of aunts and uncles, but my mom had always said, "you can be anywhere, and do anything for two years". Well, of course it was only my first week in Billings when I ran into this baseball player in the gym who I just knew I had to introduce myself to. I had my sight set, so I finally walked up to him and we immediately hit it off; especially after Conner found out that I was not only born in beautiful Butte America, but also from the great state of Alaska. He also just so happened to be good family friends with my cousins, so it seemed like fate. That semester, Conner graduated from MSUB and moved back to Bozeman. I still had two more years in Billings, so we decided to do distance and see where it would take us. It was the best two years with many weekend trips, and adventures all over. I graduated in May of 2021, and moved to Bozeman to start my dream job in labor and delivery. Added bonus: Conner just so happened to live there too, so once again, fate. Conner proposed on my birthday, January 20, 2022 up in the beautiful Gallatin Range on our favorite hike. We can't wait to celebrate the best day ever with our most favorite people!
