We met once or twice in college, but never thought it was worth remembering. Once we both moved out to Washington, D.C., we re-connected and became best friends and adventure buddies. Soon we realized that we were more than just best friends!

We were on vacation in Paris, France. We stopped at a little square with a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower and the beautiful Parisian architecture. Tessa's friend Shannon was there and when she was stopping to snap a few photos of us, Colton got down on his knee and asked Tessa to be his best friend for life! Although she never actually said yes, the crying and nodding seemed to do the trick.
