Colombia holds a vibrant place in our hearts for so many reasons. Its history and present clash in amazing and sometimes chaotic ways. Here are our tips on how to maximize your time there: - El Poblado is the district in which all activities (minus the actual wedding/reception, and we have transport arranged for that) will be held, and is very walkable. It is the safest part of the city, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t susceptible to criminal activity. - If you travel by car, please take Ubers or Didi (local taxi app)! These are generally considered safer due to traceability of the drivers; - There are occasional panhandlers on the streets, but most folks will leave you alone with “no, gracias”; - In the late hours, be extra careful and don’t accept drinks or anything else you might get offered from strangers. Stay anywhere you’d like (there are many great other hotels and Airbnbs & here are our fav spots):
