Little did we know that our love story would actually began in July of 2017 at the ole Hancock County fair. But it wasn't until almost a year later that we would reconnect and find ourselves spending every free moment together. Two and half years of memories, laughs, and cries later, and we are finally tying the knot!!
For several months, I had tried to convince Colton to get professional pictures done with me. Mind you, Colton HATES pictures so it took me about three months, but I had finally convinced him! So on November 13th of 2019, we both got all dressed up and headed to Quincy. I was super excited because we would finally have good pictures together that I could frame. On the other hand, Colton was not excited at all. He was acting super weird on the way to Quincy but at the time I just thought it was because he regretted even saying yes. Throughout our thirty-minute session, we had done several different poses and just walked around downtown Quincy on the square. When we were towards the end of our session, our photographer had us doing several poses of me turned around with Colton running up behind me and spinning me around. After getting several good shots, our photographer wanted us to do it one more time. As I was turned around and waiting on Colton to come to pick me up and spin me around one last time, I knew something was up because he was taking FOREVER. When I turned around to see what the hold up was, HE WAS DOWN ON ONE KNEE WITH A RING. In disbelief and through tears, I said YES! Not only did our photographer get pictures of this unforgettable moment, but my best friend was hiding behind a tree and got a video of the whole thing! Since I was a little girl, I had dreamed of my proposal and wedding day. With the help of my best friend, our photographer, and of course Colton, our proposal couldn't have been any more perfect. And I can't wait to marry the most perfect person to spend the rest of my life with. We want to thank all of our family and friends for the support and love that they have given us through the two years of our relationship. God is so so good!!
