Things really started in 2011 when Mitch asked Taylor to dance at their senior year homecoming dance. They were about 30 seconds into the song when Mitch left Taylor to go to a party with his friends. He messaged her the next morning to apologize which went something like: "Hey, sorry I ditched you in the middle of that song last night." And she replied something like: "Oh, it's fine, I only cried for like 5 hours ;)" They exchanged more sarcastic banter over the next couple of days and that's when they knew they had something special.
