Travis and Dani met in January 2018 at Murphy's Irish Pub after Dani's Maid of Honor, Carly, persuaded her to try out Tinder. They both swiped right and had a wonderful first date. Both were nervous (especially Travis who called Dani his own name) but as the night went on, there was an instant connection. They talked for hours enjoying each other's company.

When the pandemic hit, Dani and Travis did not leave the house, like most people, except for groceries. Dani had no idea that Travis had ordered a ring through the mail (ask him about this story). Travis hid the ring for months with his Magic: the Gathering cards knowing Dani would never think to look there. He had been planning a June proposal for months. He planned to go to a winery with our close friends Taylor, Zach, and Sydney. They made an excursion out to Bull Run Winery on June 13, 2020. The whole plan worked out perfectly. It was the first outing that Dani and Travis had since the pandemic hit and Dani had no clue what was about to happen. They drove out to Bull Run Winery and were given a table right near the vines. Travis planned with Taylor, Zach, and Sydney how he was going to the proposal. They decided to take pictures and when it got to Travis and Dani, Travis was going to say he didn't like the pictures and wanted a redo. At that moment, he would get down on one knee and ask Dani to marry him. The plan worked and Dani said yes!
