Best Man
A few years ago, I reached a point in my life where I yearned for positive change and aspired to evolve into a better version of myself. Longing for a brotherly companion on this transformative journey, I sought someone who shared a similar quest for self-discovery. In a truly divine manner, God orchestrated the meeting between Collo and me. Our journey commenced, propelling us from boyhood to manhood. Fast forward to today, witnessing the remarkable growth and character development in Collo brings immense joy. I eagerly anticipate the incredible husband he is destined to become for our lovely friend Laureen. Together, as a couple, they radiate blessings not only in our lives but throughout our community. The anticipation of what lies ahead fills me with excitement and hope for the future.
Matron of Honor
I tend to jokingly call Laureen my look-alike twin because when we meet new people for the first time, they often ask if we’re sisters. And truth be told ,we are in our own beautiful little way! And through walking with Laureen over the last couple of years, I can wholeheartedly say she is a constant source of comfort, wisdom, encouragement, counsel, and joy in my life and the epitome of integrity and kindness to everyone around her. This past year, I was blessed to have her by my side as I got married and now I couldn’t be more honored to stand by her side as she walks towards becoming a wife to a steadfast leader and man of valor, Collo. All that to say, how beautiful it has been to walk with both of them this far, how amazing it has been to see God’s favor over them, and I cannot wait to celebrate this altogether wonderful union!

I’ve known Collins for about 15 years, meaning we’ve sort of watched each other grow into who we are now. We’ve shared in hopeful joys and sorrowful despair, as well as almost anything else that can be fit in between. Among the joys was being introduced to Mukami, who has become a dear friend. These two are two peas in a pod, and I’m honored to be their friend.

In 2012, I moved to Kansas and met Collins, who quickly became like a big brother to me. We bonded through serving in church, and through him, I found my future husband, his best friend. Later on, I had the joy of meeting Mukami, who has become a dear little sister and a wonderful blessing to our friendship. Now, as Collins and Mukami embark on their wedding journey, I am thrilled and honored to be looking forward to standing with them on their big day, supporting and celebrating as they start this beautiful journey of marriage. Wishing them a lifetime filled with love and joy!

Collo and Laureen have both been amazing siblings to me individually. But together, they’ve made a formidable couple that I look up to. I admire their commitment to each other over the years despite their changing circumstances. I’ve been privileged to see these two grow individually and yet still build a strong relationship and friendship. But most importantly, their commitment to God has seen them through, proving that they belong together. It’s been an honor to witness your journey, Collo and Laureen. I pray that God will direct your steps as you enter this new phase of life and that your marriage will be a fruitful one in every respect of the word. I look forward to seeing your life going forward!

I met Laureen in our first year of pharmacy school. According to her, she never thought we would be good friends because I was "too serious". 4 years later, she's one of the most kind, thoughtful, and humble friends I have ever had. I met Collins after Laureen decided to stop hiding him from our friend group. Being a fellow African man, he and I got along very quickly and I grew to respect the patient and humorous man that he is.

Heyyy , I'm Barbara, and I've had the pleasure of getting to know Collins through my sister, Laureen. I've often been the third wheel more times than I can count lol, but hey, at least I’ve scored some free meals along the way! Throughout these experiences, I've had the opportunity to observe the authentic love and joy shared between them, to know that they truly are perfect for each other. It brings me immense joy witnessing my sister beaming with happiness and to know that she’s found someone who genuinely makes her happy.

This dude has been in my life since I was negative nine years old! He’s about 31,000 years old now, so back in the day when I was very young. We had a very interesting relationship. I see him as one of my mentors/guardians. He’d always be looking out for Billy and I, making sure that we weren’t being dumb young teens. His guidance/experience has helped me really be able to pave my way through life. Without him going into the army and experiencing the grueling abuse for the 4 years, I would’ve found myself in the marines facing the exact same torture. So I thank him for being the catalyst, so I can avoid any bad/distracting situations. To My Guy Collo; on your special day, as you embark on this beautiful journey, I say, may love and joy fill your heart, as you and create a brand new start. Today, you join hands with your beloved bride, two souls coming together, side by side, may your love shine bright, like the morning sun, and may your bond grow stronger, as each day is done. So here's to you, my brother, and your new bride, may your love story forever reside, in the hearts of all who witness your love,as you soar together, like doves in the sky. Again I just want to say. Congratulations on your wedding day, may love and blessings come your way, I am grateful to be a part of this special occasion, and I wish you a lifetime of love and elation.

I’ve known Collins for about 5 years now. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of being his (first) little sister, a title I treasure immensely haha! Collins has showcased such great dedication in filling in the shoes of a big brother in my life. His ability to choose to see the best in me, and to defend me whilst calling me to a better version of myself are one of the few things that I admire about him. One of the biggest gifts Collins has brought me is his now wife to be Laureen. To say that they are a perfect fit is an understatement. Her kindness and empathy toward everyone and her intentionality toward our sisterhood leaves me inspired. It has been such a blessing to watch her grow into the woman of God she is today. Being a witness to their relationship and now their union is one of my greatest joys. They are truly a brother and sister God knew I needed!

The chance encounter of meeting Collins was not by choice. Through some complex passing of genetic material and rigorous mate selection processes, I was chosen or rather, he was chosen to carry a similar genetic code to mine. Therefore, he received the esteemed title, my brother.

Laureen and I became good friends in pharmacy school, where she was a rock of support. Collins and I bonded straight away over our shared enthusiasm for cooking. He's deeply committed to his church and a genuinely awesome person. I'm over the moon for them as they embark on their married life. Cheers to an amazing duo!

I had the pleasure of meeting Laureen in pharmacy school. She introduced Collins at our school, Pharmal, and while watching him dance, I knew he was meant to be my friend too. Heyy, my name is Jasmine and I have known Laureen for literally my whole life! I still remember when I was in first grade and I had to write down my siblings for a school assignment and I wrote down that I had four siblings, Lily, Barbra, Michelle, and Laureen. I’ve learned so much from Laureen and look up to her as an older sister which is why I am so happy now that Laureen is getting married to Collins! I met Collins for the first time at her graduation and he seems like a very sweet person and I know that they will take care of each other. I wish them all the best in their marriage!💗💗
