An absolute must! Independence hall is not only beautiful but also offers tours of the actual rooms where our founding fathers crafted the Declaration of Independence! Within the same few blocks you can also visit several other historical sites including the liberty bell, the first national bank, President Washingotn's House remains, the Betsy Ross house, and Ben Franklin's grave! We highly recommend scheduling a walking tour with a knowledgable guide for the best experience!
A large indoor food market with some of Philadelphia's best food! Once inside, be sure to stop by Beiler's for fresh Amish donuts, DiNick's for a roast pork sandwich, Basset's for ice cream, Termini Brothers for cannolis, and so much more. A great spot to stop for lunch when spending the day doing all of the historic things to do in Old City!
This is the oldest street in the U.S that is still inhabited! We particularly love it because we took our engagement photos here! Nearby you can find the Betsy Ross house as well as Race Street Pier, another one of our favorite spots!
Hands down the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia if you're looking to get one while in town! It can be busy, so try calling ahead so you can pick up your sandwich and head over to Washington Square to eat outside in a beautiful park! The pizza is also delicious!
If you're looking for a starting place to wander the city, start in Rittenhouse square! This is a beautiful park right in the heart of the city, with tons of shopping and restaurants nearby!
Home to beautiful art and artifacts, the museum itself is beautiful inside and out! While you're at it, take a run up the "Rocky" steps and a picture with the Rocky statue!
Only a drive away from Philadelphia, here you can visit the historic grounds where Washington and his troops stayed during the Revolutionary war! The park has beautiful trails as well!
An old prison that will be decorated for Halloween and has a fun haunted house! P.S This is where Al Capone did his time!
