Things To Do

Our wedding ceremony and where we live is in South Columbus called German Village. If you're in the area before or after the ceremony, walk around German Village. German Village is a unique area of south Columbus with charming brick homes, cobblestone streets and gas lanterns. Take a walk up and down Beck street & Mohawk street. Colin and I got engaged in Frank Fetch Park. Schiller Park is down the street from the church and is a large beautiful park we also frequent. We love to take our dog here. Across the street from the church are The Book Loft and Stauf's Coffee. Some of our favorite restaurants/bars in the area are: Lindey's (classy nice restaurant but with the best outdoor patio, fun cocktails, and nice indoor/outdoor bar) Cento Old Mohawk Club 185 The Sycamore Schmidt's Sausage Haus which is near a chocolate/candy shop and souvenir/gift shop. Brown Bag Deli Low Beck and High Beck (fun dive bars) Antiques on High South Village Grill Mid City Garage

Short North Arts District

Columbus, OH

A ton of fun restaurants, bars, shopping, music venues. Some recommendations are Del Mar SoCal Kitchen, The Pearl, Forno, El Segundo, Rooh, The Guild House, Townhall, The Rossi, Bakersfield. The Mandrake and Lincoln Social are rooftops. Ginger Rabbit is a jazz club with fun cocktails but you need to make reservations.

BREWERIES

424 W Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Columbus has a ton of breweries. Land Grant is the address listed above and is a favorite. Across the street is one of the BrewDog locations. Also recommend Wolf's Ridge Brewing, Jackie O's On Fourth, Columbus Brewing Company, Saucy Brew Works, Zaftig, Hofbrauhaus, High Bank Distillery.

Easton Town Center

Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219

This is where the main hotel block is. This is an area of tons of shopping indoor and outdoor (pretty much any store you can think of), restaurants, bars. There is a movie theater, escape room, comedy club, sometimes live music, and pedal wagon tours. Pins Mechanical Company is a fun spot for drinks and foosball, pinball, duckpin bowling, ping pong, and bocce. We haven't been to even half of the restaurants but always love Northstar Cafe, Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant, Condado Tacos, True Food Kitchen and so many more! There a lot more fast food type places too.

Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

1777 East Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43203

The Ohio State University

281 West Lane Avenue, Columbus, OH 43210

Ohio Stadium

411 Woody Hayes Drive, Columbus, OH 43210

COLUMBUS IS THE HOME FOR THE BUCKEYES (OSU FOOTBALL), COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS (NHL HOCKEY), COLUMBUS CREW (SOCCER), COLUMBUS CLIPPERS (MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL). Check out if these teams have any games while you are in town or the stadiums.

Columbus Zoo and Aquarium

4850 West Powell Road, Powell, OH 43065

Battelle Riverfront Park

25 Marconi Boulevard, Columbus, OH 43215

We often bike or walk our dog on the Scioto Mile Riverfront. This area is across from the Cosi museum.

Bridge Park

183 North High Street, Dublin, OH 43017

Cute area in Dublin, Ohio with streets of restaurants, bars, shops.
