A beautiful, moderate hike with breathtaking views about 15 minutes in. Easily accessible from Edgewood and any of the casino area hotels.
Emerald Bay State Park
Lake Tahoe’s crown jewel – an oasis of shimmering greens, turquoise and blues against a strikingly beautiful mountain backdrop on the Lake’s west shore – this is Emerald Bay. Due to Lake Tahoe’s incredible clarity and depth, the colors of the lake are surreal, and Emerald Bay is the perfect place to take in the entirety of the scene. In addition to the many scenic viewpoints, there is a ton of hiking in this area too. Get there early as parking is very limited.
Heavenly Ski Resort
Enjoy a scenic ride up the Heavenly Gondola to explore all the resort has to offer during the summer. There's something for everyone at Heavenly, whether it be hiking the trails and visiting the scenic overlooks, taking part in activities at Epic Discovery (ropes course, tubing, mountain coaster), or simply just enjoying a serene moment with one of the best views in Tahoe atop the Observation Deck.
