The Nielsen's 2023

Cole and Tasha both attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. Tasha started school in Fall 2013, immediately joining a sorority and starting off her college career! Meanwhile, Cole was finishing up his Senior year of high school in Oceanside, CA. Cole headed to Arizona Fall of 2014 to start his schooling to become a Mechanical Engineer. Years go by and mutual friends started to form. Cole finally got introduced to Tasha at a "Gathering of Friends" in January 2017. Their friend group started to grow, and relationships started to develop. They knew from the beginning that this was a lot more than a college fling. After talking for about 2 months, Cole and Tasha took a trip to Mexico for Spring Break and feelings started to emerge. Through the ins and outs of Mexico, Cole became extremely protective of Tasha. (As he should be) At the end of the trip, there wasn’t a doubt in Tasha’s mind that this was meant to be! On the car ride home from Mexico, Tasha asked Cole to ask her to be his girlfriend! :) Cole and Tasha eventually moved back to California in December 2018, directly after Cole graduated with his BS in Mechanical Engineering. Not knowing what their next steps were, Tasha moved home to Orange County, CA and Cole to Carlsbad, CA. Tasha started her career in fitness and got a job at 24 Hour Fitness in San Juan Capistrano, and a few months later Cole got his first engineering position in Simi Valley. With a 2-3 hour commute in between them, plus driving through the heart of Los Angeles, long distance became their new norm. 2 Years and a Pandemic Later, it was time to take the next step: Move to Carlsbad, CA as Full-time residents. Tasha had a job in Dana Point and (with a little push) Cole started to job search down in San Diego. It didn't take long for Cole to finally receive the job offer he was waiting for. In July 2021, Tasha and Cole were able to make the leap down to San Diego Together! Finding the perfect 1 Bed, 1 Bath Apt less than 5 min away from the beach, it was the best move they could have made. 1 Year later and a lot of pressure (You know who you are) ... Cole got down on one knee in their perfect little apartment, and asked Tasha to be his Forever. Here we are today, with Friends and Family from two separate lives.
