Gatlinburg Space Needle
This 407-foot observation tower overlooks downtown Gatlinburg and provides a stunning 360-degree view of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Newfound Gap Road
Head South on 441 out of Gatlinburg on this scenic mountain drive into the Great Smokey Mountains. Key stops within an hour are Sugarland's Visitor Center, Newfound Gap (state line of Tennessee + North Carolina), and Clingman's Dome (an overlook on the tallest mountain in the Smokey Mountains). Heads up, Clingman's Dome is a short but very steep hike!
Anakeesta
Located in the heart of Gatlinburg, the mountaintop park features elements of adventure, relaxation, and a memorable experience in the Smokies! Admission to Anakeesta includes all day park access and unlimited scenic rides via the Chondola or Ridge Rambler before arriving in Firefly village with quaint shopping, dining, and a whimsical mountain atmosphere. This is our personal favorite place in Gatlinburg!
Gatlinburg SkyLift Park
Located at the top of the SkyLift, the Gatlinburg SkyBridge is 680 feet long AND the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America! You can also hike on the new SkyTrail, relax on the expansive SkyDeck while taking in the highest peaks in the Smoky Mountains, or grab some food and refreshments in the SkyCenter’s two-story building.
Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies
A massive aquarium featuring the shark lagoon, stringray bay, and a penguin playhouse!
Hillbilly Golf
This tourist hotspot begins with a tram ride up the side of a mountain, leading to two hillbilly-themed mini golf courses! It was one of our favorite events on our first trip to Gatlinburg!
